Leconfield House, Mayfair
Studio Dar was commissioned by the owners of this prestigious office building in Curzon Street to redesign the reception and circulation areas. The main concept was to create a ‘box within a box', with sculptural origami picked out in textured and highly-polished varieties of Venetian plaster meandering through the space, floating off the main wall.
Studio Dar also designed the lighting scheme - a combination of concealed strips of light to emphasise the floating elements, and subtle area lighting to amplify the crisp monochromatic interior and create a strong glow to project the identity of the building.
